Young Rangers Day Camp: Fantastic Flyers16th August 2024, 9:30 to 15:00 at Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre (95.7 miles)
A full day for 8-12 year olds to discover Fantastic Flyers on our beautiful nature reserve at Sutton Courtenay.
Go outside on an adventure and discover Fantastic Flyers this summer on a day camp for 8-12 year olds. The camp is run by our trained and experienced learning team, children can be dropped off and collected at the end of the day. The day will be packed full with wildlife themed games, activities and exploration all over the nature reserve, helping the children to connect with the amazing world around us. This camp will be themed around nature that flies, from birds and bats to dragonflies and tree seeds. Activities will range from meadow sweeping for insects and mapping migrations to making seed bursts to take home.
We'll spend the day in the great outdoors, but the centre does have a beautiful indoor classroom space in case of bad weather. Further information will be sent at time of booking, including a parental consent form that MUST be completed and returned prior to attending the day. Please note, this day camp will be repeated on Wednesday 21 August (same content, please only book one of these days). We are also running a Zoologist themed day camp on Wednesday 14 August and Tuesday 20 August.
Please note the centre is accessible by public transport with regular buses (including connection to Didcot Parkway railway station) serving Milton Park, a few minutes walk from the centre.
